D-Day Prep: What to Pack in That Hospital Bag (Checklist Inside!)

Wednesday, November 01, 2017

Ever since I had that pre-term labor scare last weekend, I am more convinced that D-Day is drawing near.

And with 2 months to go, I feel that I am still unprepared.

Well, I'm sort of like a last minute kind of person. I mean, I pack the night before my trips. I planned my wedding in just 4 months. The night before my wedding, I was still working on my reception backdrop. Lol. Seriously.

But I thrive like that.

With this pregnancy, though (and having experienced the less than 24-hour hospital admission last week), I'm hesitant of not preparing soon enough because:

a. This little one deserves the best ❤️ (and clothes, at least, during his first hours in the world and we should have a bunch ready in case he comes out a week(s) sooner)
b. Expenses (not securing a hospital room beforehand will cost you more!)

So, I'm starting with the most basic—the D-Day Hospital Bag Checklist.

Let's start?

👜 When to Pack the Hospital Bag

Flexibility is important on this timing.

If, for example, you have a high risk pregnancy and your OB feels that you may go into labor early, then you should start packing at 35 weeks, according to The Bump.

I think I'll pack earlier. My OB thinks that I may go into early labor the last time because according to the Anomaly Scan that I had during the 5th month, my myoma grew in an unbelievable pace.

She even injected me with steroids to strengthen babyyyy's lungs, just in case.

But last week's ultrasound showed that it shrank again. Yey!
