Becoming Mombie — Week 34
Friday, December 01, 2017
Becoming Mombie is my weekly documentation of the third trimester of my pregnancy
with my DS (dear son) + a few life updates.
A cabbage in my belly? It's getting fluffier in there!
I was looking forward to this week because of three major things, which I am going to reveal in the Quick Update section.
Also visited the OB and had my birthing questions answered. 😄 I thought we're going for a weekly check-up now, but my doctor requested me to come back after two weeks. I guess everything's going okay.
💻 Quick Update of the Week
❝ TL;DR: Started discussing the birth plan with my doctor, mom flew in from the province, and I bought a MacBook Air 2017. ❞
I was looking forward to this week because of 3 major things in my otherwise boring life:
We'll be discussing the things to bring next time. It turns out that our hospital doesn't offer packages, so I think Ima need to bring my own things as much as possible. Some mommies who have commented on my previous posts have informed me to ask my doctor about it.

- Mommyla's Arrival
We went to fetch my mom from the airport. We haven't seen each other in months and she hasn't seen my big belly in person or hasn't felt baby J move yet, so I'm pretty excited that she's staying with us for a while.
When we got to the airport, she was already there. No flight delays, hooray!
The three of us, or four, I mean, went shopping last Sunday for a couple of baby's things again. Additional bigki, lampins, disposable diaper, and baby bag (finally!). SM had lots of sale the past few weeks and we're reaping little bonuses because of the SM advantage card.

- Laptop shopping
Months ago, I was agonizing over my 3-year old Asus laptop. It has become clunkier as each day passes and it really has been limiting my productivity.
I was on the fence about switching to Mac, but we (hubby and I) eventually made up our mind and decided that I'll be better off with a Mac.
I badly needed a new laptop before babyyyyy comes out so I can still hustle for the last few weeks before the maternity leave. And so that I'll have a stress-free work when I multitask in the coming months.
It's just a MacBook Air (Mid 2017) with 256 GB of storage. Was supposed to get the 512 GB, but the store doesn't have a stock, warranting me to order a customized one from Singapore and it would take weeks before shipment.
I'll just get an additional cloud storage or an external hard drive if the need arises.
How's baby?
Babyyyyy is doing okay, even though my doctor said that he's in an oblique position. When I got admitted last time, he was already in the cephalic position. I hope he goes back to that position soon. I will know this Saturday.
He's still ever responsive and would wiggle inside my tummy whenever I caress his protruding body parts with gentle, circular motions.

Baby's Milestones at Week 34
According to the Ovia app:
- Gets better at regulating his body temperature
- Puts on more fat
- Brain development is on overdrive
- Development is almost complete!
- Babyyyyy's testicles probably reached his scrotum
- Skeletal development is nearly complete
- Getting all the calcium that mommy's having on her diet
How's mommy?
I am definitely itching, especially on my boobies.
And this maybe TMI, but I'm getting more crusted thingamajigs from my nippies. Dried milk, they say. This has been going for a month, I think, but there's no liquid going out. I think they're milk.
Also, I think my legs hurt.
Ugh, pregnancy. But I'm treasuring every minute of it!
Also, I'm kind of dreading my next OB appointment since my doctor said she's going to perform an IE on me. 😰 It's going to be my first time.

How's daddy?
He's busy at work, but I'm glad that he still makes time in fulfilling his pinky promises like going back to the house for lunch and going to the doctor for his checkup. We need to be healthy and the cough needs to go before baby arrives!

That's all for Becoming Mombie this week!
Next week, we're going to have another ultrasound and we're buying the crib! 😏 I'm not sure if we should buy some breast pump this early? Or should I wait for a couple of weeks after our actual breastfeeding experience?
I have never done this much shopping in my whole life. It's amazing how a little one can drastically change your life (and body). We haven't even seen him yet, but he's already making our lives eventful and exciting!!!
Can't wait to meet this little human. ❤️
