About

Hey, I'm Aiza.

I'm the woman (currently preggo) behind the blog, Freelancing Mombie.

I started this blog after feeling bit guilty of not being able to document my pregnancy journey. I used to be a multi-blog owner and thought documenter.

Then, extreme introversion happened. (After I quit my day job to pursue my copywriting career online, usually in just an oversized shirt and undies)

My mom and friends would always tell me, "Can you upload a picture of yourself? Yung whole body."

*rolls eyes*

But I would comply.

Before I blab on, you're probably wondering what a mombie is, so here.

Mombie

(n.) A sleep-deprived supermom who feeds on caffeine and survives on sticky kisses and messy smiles. Mombies are master multi-taskers and suck it uppers.

Yep, so even though I'm not yet in the full-fledged state as of the moment, I'm pretty sure I'll transition into one soon.

Hmmm, what else?

I guess I have to tell you bits of about me on this page?

Got married: in 2015 with 4 short months of preparation, but a year of saving up for the wedding. We were like, "Yes, I wanna marry you so let's start saving so we can afford to feed our family and friends during the big day."

Here's a picture of us from our wedding day.

Has worked as: a test engineer for 6 miserable years. Was happy with my co-workers, but my inner creative self was feeling trapped all of the time. All I could think of were my blog and writing clients instead of concentrating on the test boards and a bunch of codes.

Now working as: an email and web copywriter slash marketer for a SaaS company. Super fun. Also engages with other clients from time to time.

Got pregnant: in 2017, learnt all about it after my 30th birthday.

Loves: dogs, being alone, marketing, copywriting, books, coffee, watercolors

What to read on Freelancing Mombie

Since I'm a freelancing momma who is about to plunge (face-first, I guess) into the tiring world of motherhood, I'd probably blog about:

  • Winging motherhood
  • Late pregnancy stories
  • Random everyday events
  • My DS (dear son)
  • Freelancing and + How to escape the 9-to-5
  • And probably freelancer finance

Yeah, that's about it.
